During this comic book project, I learned how edit a photo of myself into the style of a comic book artist by using the tools and techniques such as the gradient tool, paint bucket, text tool, rectangular marquee, and the crop tool. i also learned how to change the filter of my image using color filter, which allowed me to change the intensity and highlights of my photo.

During this project using photoshop, I put eight tattoos on Selena Gomez. The tattoos I put on her include the broken heart on her neck, the bleeding rose and cassette tape on her right arm, a cross on her right wrist, a microphone on her lower left arm. a roll of film and the Japanese word for love on her left leg, and the words love yourself on her left shoulder. I pick all of these tattoos for specific reasons. I picked the broken heart because she’s been through a lot of pain in  her love life. I picked the bleeding rose to represent all her sadness and pain of how she felt during and before rehab. I gave her a cassette tape since she produced this tv show called 13 reasons why. I tattooed her with a role of camera film to represent that she’s been in a lot of movies. I gave her a cross tattoo because she is very religious and always has faith/hope. I put a microphone tattoo on her to show her love for music and I made it look more faded then the rest of the tattoos to represent that she’s been making music since she was 16. And finally I picked the words love yourself and the Japanese word for love to show how she was coped with her anxiety and depression and learned to love herself first. The tools I used on this project include the transform tool, eraser, zoom, move, and warp tool. I mostly used to warp tool on this project because I felt it was more effective and made the tattoos look more realistic.

Harrer Tattoo

On this project I used lots of different tools to make all the tattoos on Taylor Swift look realistic. For the dragon tattoo I used the Gaussian Blur and the Warp tool. To give her the tribal symbol tattoo on her right mid arm, I used the same tools I did for the dragon tattoo along with the eraser tool. And finally, for the butterfly tattoo, I used the warp tool and the eraser to make her tattoo look realistic.

Summary:

To colorize the haunted house in this project, I used tools such as the Magic Wand, Polygonal Lasso, and the Quick Mask tool. I used the Magic Wand to colorize the big tree on the left as well as the dead trees and branches in front of the house. I used the Polygonal Lasso to colorize some of the trees in the back. The tool I used the most on this project though, was the Quick Mask tool. I used it to do all the house, including the roof, pillars, windows, etc, as well as the sky/backdrop and the rest of the trees on the right side of the photo and to the right.  I would say the Quick Mask tool personally is the best one to use in a project like this.

Our Social Contract

A social contract is an agreement that the class creates to help build mutual respect. The students create responses that are recorded and then signs the social contract to claim that is how they want to be treated and how they will treat others.

  1. I want to be treated with respect, be treated fairly, understand, get extra help when I need it, and have my opinion valued.

2. I believe Coach Smith would like to be treated respectfully, not only to him himself and to his classroom. Also I believe he would like for all of us as students to listen, golden rule, and be attentive.

3. I believe we should all treat each other fairly, respectfully, and with the golden rule.
